Iheanacho won’t make Chan squad, says Keshi

The Super Eagles handler has revealed that the unsettled Golden Eaglets star will play no part in Nigeria’s debut outing at the African Nations Championship
Fifa U17 2013 World Cup discovery Kelechi Iheanacho has been ruled out of the Super Eagles squad to represent the country at the African Nations Championship billed for South Africa.
The Taye Academy football star left the Super Eagles camp two weeks ago for Manchester City to pen a deal with the Citizen which seems to be heading for the rock.
“I’m not sure that can happen. There is no chance of it because he has lost almost a week since he left us and we don’t have time on our hands,” Keshi told brilafm.net.
“When he was here, he was already picking up, doing well and he would probably have made the team with the prospect of more exposure for him at the tournament.”
The Super Eagles gaffer however expressed disappointment over the controversy trailing the UAE 2013 Golden Ball winner on where he will ply his club career.
“it’s a shame that we cannot have him and he cannot go to Manchester City, but I’m disappointed because he is a good player and he should be with us right now,” he concluded
