Jonathan Urges Prayers For Nation

PRESIDENT Jonathan yesterday urged Nigerians to continue to pray for the country, saying it is the best way to attract God’s favour and blessing to the nation.
In a brief remark at the wedding of Senate President David Mark’s daughter, Ada, Jonathan noted that without prayers, surviving in the world would be very difficult.
He called on the new couple, Mr. and Mrs. Inalegwu Egwa, to embrace the virtues of tolerance and perseverance. He advised them to sustain their relationship and build their union on solid foundation.
Mark expressed appreciation to God for the grace to give away his daughter in holy matrimony. Appreciating Jonathan’s presence at the wedding, which took place at Regina Pacis Catholic Parish, Garki, Mark noted that the “ups and downs” of every nation bring to mind the capability of the leadership in that country.
He urged Nigerians to rise to the occasion by participating in leadership roles, which he said begin from the family.
Dignitaries at the wedding ceremony included Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu; PDP Board of Trustee Chairman, chief Tony Anenih; Governor of Kogi State, Captain Wada; Anambra State - Peter Obi; Cross Rivers - Liyel Imoke, among others.
