He
is better known as the Lion of Bourdillion. Others will call him Asiwaju Bola
Ahmed Tinubu. He was the former governor of Lagos state and a leading light in
the opposition political amalgam, the All Progressive Congress (APC). Some
folks say he is richer than all the south west states put together.
How far thi sis true remains to be scientifically proven.
What is proven though is that he is rich. We can reveal with
authority that Asiwaju has taken delivery of his second private jet, a brand
new Bombadier Global Express XRS valued at $50 million for effective
intercontinental dash and junketing around the troubled Nigerian
contraption. The jet, will be the second which he now personally owns and
he reportedly got it so that he would not be refuelling when he goes on
long haul journeys.
The jet is a Bombadier Global Express XRS. Asiwaju’s jet is
the same type owned by Aliko Dangote, Folorunsho Alakija and Mike Adenuga Jnr
which comes at the plus $50m bracket, according to an aviation expert.
After all the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian
Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeoye, justified his ownership of a private jet,
saying it is necessary for efficiency in his assignment for evangelism.
The jet, a Global Express XRS plane, is allegedly chartered
specifically for her private and official trips overseas. Interestingly, the
luxury toy is a whooping N8.2 billion jet as at 2010, because it’s one of the
most expensive in the world.
